If you’ve been following my facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ellesinspiredhome/) this week and last, I’ve been posting festively decorated kitchens…and I’ll post a couple of my favorites here. Some are more elaborate than others. But I think you can add a lot of spirit without doing a lot or spending a lot. Take a look and I’ll tell you what I mean.

What perfect uses for wide ribbon! And now for smaller touches…

That adorable framed corkboard can definitely be used year round!

and how adorable is this? So charming and so simple…

You can’t forget about coffee & cocoa stations! So welcoming when you have out of town guests visiting, and so convenient for them to help themselves. I have to admit…we’re not expecting any out of towners, but I am going to “Christmas up” our coffee area!

The common detail in most of these pictures are Runners! So easy, and even if you don’t want to sew one, you can just cut a rough edge one! The other detail I thought was adorable was the tree garland from Kristan Vanendaal above…just cute paper (probably scrapbooking, so it doesn’t curl) attached/taped to either mini string lights or a garland…or even taped around the area. This is something your kids can help with…

My hope is that you don’t overwhelm yourself with all the holiday “to-do” lists, but do something quick and easy that you enjoy seeing all during the season!

I hope you enjoyed this post, I loved looking at those sweet pictures again! Next week I’m going to share a couple of traditions we have in our family!

Have a Blessed Season!
