If you’re wondering how to paint kitchen cabinets, and how much paint you’ll need, here is a good rule of thumb…

On average, you will need one gallon of primer. And 1 to 2 gallons of paint. You always want some leftover paint just in case you need to touch up.

drying racks are SO handy when painting cabinets!

Because you don’t need more than two gallons of paint, you should buy the best paint for cabinets you can (paints made specifically for cabinets have a much higher durability).

tip: always stand drawers up straight when drying: helps the paint to self-level for a perfect finish
